Payment Protection Policy

Guidance for safer payments, payment redirection prevention, transaction records and payment-related marketplace support on Gadget Trade.

Last updated September 2, 2026 Official Gadget Trade policy

01Use the official payment flow

Where Gadget Trade provides an official checkout or payment flow, users should use that flow and review the exact listing, amount, seller, order and delivery details before confirming payment. Gadget Trade does not treat a screenshot or message claiming that payment was made as proof of settlement.

02Never share payment secrets

Never share passwords, OTPs, card PINs, CVVs, full card details or authentication codes with another user or a person claiming to be Support. Gadget Trade Support does not need these secrets for ordinary account or transaction assistance.

03Payment redirection and fake confirmations

  • Treat requests to pay a different account after checkout as suspicious until verified through an official support route.
  • Do not rely on edited screenshots, SMS screenshots or forwarded bank alerts as proof of payment.
  • Do not click unknown payment links sent through marketplace messages.
  • If a payment appears to have gone to the wrong destination, contact the relevant payment provider and Gadget Trade Support promptly.

04Transaction records

Keep your order or transaction reference, receipt, payment confirmation and relevant messages. These records help Support understand what happened when a payment or delivery issue is reported.

05Payment disputes

Payment protection does not mean every transaction is automatically refundable or that every dispute will have the same outcome. Resolution depends on the transaction record, applicable Gadget Trade policies, payment-provider processes and applicable law.
