01Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Gadget Trade, including the public website, user accounts, marketplace listings, buying and selling tools, swaps, messaging, communities, promotions, support services and other features made available through the service.

By creating an account, accessing a protected feature, submitting a listing, communicating with another member, placing an order or otherwise using a part of Gadget Trade that is subject to these Terms, you agree to comply with these Terms and the policies that are expressly incorporated into them.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not create an account or use the parts of Gadget Trade covered by them. Individual transactions may also contain additional information shown during checkout, listing creation, delivery selection or another transaction flow.

02Eligibility and lawful use

You must be legally permitted to use the service and to participate in the type of transaction you are attempting to complete. You are responsible for complying with laws and regulations that apply to you, your products, your payments and your activities on or through Gadget Trade.

You must provide information that is accurate enough for Gadget Trade to operate your account and for other users to understand your marketplace activity. Where a feature requires additional verification, you must provide the information requested through the official verification process.

03Accounts and account security

Your account is intended for your own use. Keep your password, authentication codes, recovery information and connected sign-in methods secure. Do not give another person control of your account or knowingly allow another person to use your account to conduct marketplace activity.

You should promptly contact Gadget Trade support if you believe that your account has been accessed without permission, if account information has been changed unexpectedly, or if you notice suspicious activity. Gadget Trade may require additional checks before restoring access to a protected account.

• Use accurate account and contact information.
• Do not impersonate another person, company or organisation.
• Do not attempt to bypass an account restriction by opening or using another account.
• Do not share passwords, one-time codes, card PINs or other authentication secrets.

04Listings and product information

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the listings they publish. A listing should identify the actual product being offered and give buyers enough information to understand its condition, specifications, included accessories, location, price and availability.

Photographs should represent the actual item where the listing requires product photographs. Material defects, missing accessories, account locks, network restrictions, repairs, replacement parts and other facts that could reasonably affect a buyer’s decision should be disclosed when applicable.

Gadget Trade may review, limit, edit the visibility of, reject or remove a listing where it violates these Terms, a marketplace policy, applicable law, intellectual property rights or a safety requirement. A listing being visible does not mean Gadget Trade guarantees its accuracy.

• Do not use misleading titles, prices, specifications or photographs.
• Do not publish duplicate or spam listings intended to manipulate discovery.
• Keep stock, price, condition and availability information current.
• Only list products that you are entitled to sell or offer.

05Prohibited activity and products

Gadget Trade is intended for legitimate gadget and electronics transactions. Users must not use the service for fraud, theft, deception, harassment, impersonation, unauthorised access, payment abuse or activity that places other members or the platform at unreasonable risk.

Products that are illegal, stolen, counterfeit, materially misrepresented, unsafe, unlawfully restricted, or otherwise prohibited by Gadget Trade may not be listed or transacted through the service. Gadget Trade may apply additional restrictions to specific categories as marketplace requirements change.

• Stolen or unlawfully obtained goods.
• Counterfeit or deliberately misrepresented products.
• Fraudulent payment claims or attempts to manipulate transaction records.
• Malware, malicious links, credential theft or attempts to compromise another account.
• Harassment, threats, targeted abuse or deliberate exposure of another person’s private information.
• Any activity intended to defeat marketplace safety, verification or enforcement controls.

06Buying, selling and transaction responsibilities

Buyers should review the listing carefully before committing to a purchase. Consider the product description, photographs, condition, specifications, seller information, delivery or pickup terms and final price shown by the transaction flow.

Sellers should honour the product and transaction information they publish. If circumstances change before fulfilment, the seller should communicate promptly and follow the available cancellation, order or support process rather than creating a false delivery or payment record.

Gadget Trade provides marketplace tools that help users communicate and transact, but users remain responsible for making sensible decisions about the product, seller, price, condition and delivery arrangement.

07Swaps and exchanges

Where Gadget Trade provides a swap feature, users must describe the items honestly and agree clearly on the items, condition, accessories, timing and handoff arrangements before completing the exchange.

A swap is not automatically risk-free because it takes place through Gadget Trade. Inspect the item where reasonably possible, confirm that the item matches the agreed description, and use the platform’s support channels if a serious dispute arises.

08Payments, fees and checkout

Where checkout is available, payment instructions and the final amount are presented through the official Gadget Trade transaction flow. Additional charges, delivery costs, marketplace fees or payment-provider requirements may apply where they are displayed before confirmation.

Do not represent an order as paid when a valid payment has not completed. Do not ask another user to provide passwords, one-time authentication codes or card security information through marketplace messages.

Payment processing may involve a third-party payment provider. Provider processing times, authentication requirements and bank processing schedules can affect the timing of a transaction.

09Delivery, pickup and handoff

Delivery and pickup options vary by listing, location and marketplace configuration. Before confirming an order, review the delivery method, destination or pickup information and any applicable delivery charge shown by the order flow.

For a physical handoff, users should choose a sensible location and take reasonable precautions. When an item is received, inspect it promptly and keep the order reference, photographs and other evidence that may be useful if a problem is reported.

10Messages, communities and user content

Users may post listings, messages, reviews, community posts, images, videos and other content where those features are available. You are responsible for the content you submit and for having the necessary rights to publish it.

Content must not be used to threaten, harass, defraud, impersonate, expose private information, distribute malicious material or interfere with another user’s ability to use Gadget Trade. Gadget Trade may remove content or restrict access when necessary to enforce its policies or protect the service.

11Verification and trust features

Gadget Trade may offer account, seller or transaction verification to improve trust and safety. A verification status indicates that a particular verification process was completed; it does not guarantee that every statement made by the user is true or that a transaction cannot fail.

Users must not copy, alter or falsely display verification badges, approval messages or other trust indicators. Verification decisions may be reviewed when information changes or when there is a legitimate safety concern.

12Promotions and sponsored placement

Gadget Trade may provide featured placement, sponsored products, campaigns, promotional offers or other visibility tools. Where a placement is sponsored or otherwise promoted, the marketplace may label it so users can distinguish promotional placement from ordinary discovery.

Sellers and advertisers are responsible for the accuracy of the information used in promotional material and must follow the applicable campaign requirements. Payment for a promotion does not guarantee a particular number of views, clicks, sales or other results.

13Intellectual property

Gadget Trade names, logos, interface elements, original documentation and other platform materials are owned by Gadget Trade, DE ASSURANCE GROUP (DAG Group), DE ASSURANCE TECH VENTURES or their respective licensors, as applicable. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or commercially exploit protected platform material without permission except where the law permits it.

You retain responsibility for content you upload. By submitting content to a feature that requires publication, you grant Gadget Trade the permissions reasonably necessary to host, display, process and deliver that content as part of the service, subject to the applicable privacy and platform policies.

14Support, reports and disputes

If you experience a transaction or account problem, use the official Gadget Trade support channels and provide the relevant order reference, listing information, dates, screenshots or other evidence that can help with the review.

Gadget Trade may review reports and available platform records. A support review is intended to help resolve marketplace issues, but it does not make Gadget Trade a party to every private agreement between users. Where a matter requires a legal remedy or authority outside the platform, users may need to use the appropriate external process.

15Suspension, restriction and termination

Gadget Trade may limit, suspend or permanently restrict an account or listing where there is a violation of these Terms, a serious safety concern, suspicious activity, payment abuse, fraud, repeated policy violations or another legitimate reason connected to protecting the marketplace.

Where appropriate, Gadget Trade may preserve relevant records, prevent attempts to bypass enforcement and require additional information before restoring access. Users must not create replacement accounts to evade a restriction.

16Service availability and changes

Gadget Trade may change, suspend or discontinue individual features as the marketplace develops, including changes to search, checkout, delivery options, promotional tools, account requirements or documentation.

The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, network problems, third-party service interruptions, security measures or other circumstances. We aim to keep important marketplace information available and to restore affected services as reasonably practicable.

17Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Gadget Trade provides a marketplace and supporting tools; it does not manufacture or own every product offered by users and does not guarantee the conduct, financial position, identity or performance of every marketplace participant.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Gadget Trade is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from a user’s decision to transact, communicate, travel for a pickup, rely on a listing, or use an off-platform arrangement. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove a right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when Gadget Trade introduces new features, changes marketplace processes, responds to legal or safety requirements, or clarifies how an existing feature operates. The updated version will be published on this page with its latest update date.

If a change materially affects how users can use the service, Gadget Trade may provide additional notice through the service where appropriate. Continuing to use the relevant service after an update takes effect means you agree to the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

19Applicable law and contact

These Terms are intended to be read consistently with applicable laws governing Gadget Trade and its marketplace activities. Nothing in these Terms prevents a user from exercising a right that cannot legally be waived or restricted by contract.
